Elsbeth is a technology activist, advocating for equity in classrooms and believes technology is the key to breaking down barriers to education. Currently the ringmistress of 7th grade Special Education English Language Arts classrooms, Elsbeth uses technology to ensure access to grade level material and training of lifelong skills. Elsbeth believes in honoring student’s strengths as well as using culturally responsive methods and utilizing restorative justice techniques. Elsbeth was recently recognized as a StudySync Spotlight Teacher for Fontana Unified District and accepted into the Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert Program, Elsbeth is working to change the perception of neurodivergent classrooms and students across her district. Elsbeth has obtained an Education Specialist credential from University of La Verne and is currently pursuing a Masters in Educational Technology with an emphasis on technology integration and assistive technology at Boise State University.
